Children's Programs

Our Children’s Ministry (Birth through 5th Grade) offers programming in these area:

• Kids’ Kingdom
• Young Children’s Worship

• Vacation Bible Camp
• Friendship Circle
• Special Events

Nursery:  Dutch Neck Presbyterian offers infant and toddler nursery care each Sunday morning from 9:15 am through noon.  Our nursery is staffed with our loving and caring provider, Melissa and often a teenage helper!

Kids’ Kingdom:  Our alternative to Sunday School! The children of Kids’ Kingdom (1st – 5th graders) sit with their families during the 9:30 am Worship Service.  Following the “Time with the Young Church” message, the children are escorted by their shepherds to the Fellowship Hall where they learn of their activity for the morning. 

The year is divided into six different bible stories and each Sunday the children spend learning about the lessons through art, drama, movies, science, cooking, music, and more.  Each session is followed by a Celebraion Service (where the children are invited to stay in a child friendly worship service) or a Special Large Group Activity.
 
Children are picked up at 10:45 am (following the worship service) in either the classrooms or in the Fellowship Hall.  Classroom Assignments are posted on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.

Advent Event:  Tentatively scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2009, following the worship service, the Advent Event is a Dutch Neck tradition.  The entire congregation gathers for a morning of craft making, advent wreath making, and cookie eating.  This event is a favorite holiday activity, full of fun and fellowship, that helps keep the season’s meaning alive.  To help with the advent event, please speak with Bonnie Benkard at 716-0954 or bonniebenkard@gmail.com.
