Souper Bowl of Caring Collection
Our Senior High Youth will hold soup pots at church doors on Super Bowl Sunday, February 7, 2010. They will join young people in churches across the country to collect money for those who are hungry and hurting.
None of the money is sent to the Souper Bowl of Caring Headquarters. Organizers only ask that each participating church or organization report their collection so national totals can be determined and announced. Since the Souper Bowl of Caring begin in 1990 more than $50 million has gone to help people in need. Please support the youth of our church in this effort to “love our neighbors” by dropping your dollar (or more!) in the soup pot on February 7th.
Our senior high students will utilize all monies collected to finance a shopping trip to a local grocery store. All food purchased will be donated to a local food pantry.
